Abrash
Abrash is the natural variation of colour that occurs on a hand knotted rug as a result of the use of wool from a variety of different dye batches during the knitting process. Abrash is actually a characteristic of a true hand-knotted rug and is not a defect, it is actually a sign of the small batches of natural dyes used in the rug's production, as opposed to a machine-made rug with perfectly even, synthetic dyes.
