Diwali Rugs in Dubai UAE 2026: Colours, Sizes, AED Prices Where to Buy

Diwali is the perfect time to add a little something special to your home. Imagine a Dubai villa with a beautifully set-up pooja corner, fresh flowers, glowing diyas, and a rug that holds the whole room together. A rug isn't just a complement to the decor; it makes the room warm and welcoming when family and friends arrive.

When buying Diwali rugs in Dubai, you should think about colors, size, material, and price for your Diwali celebration, with rug inspiration from AIBA World.

Dhanteras and Diwali are two festive days when people bring something new into their home. It could be a traditional festive light for Indian families, an elegant accent for Arab and Western residents.

The objective is the same; you want to make your home comfortable without spending money on items that you will only use once.

Best Diwali Rug Colours for 2026 (Shop by Colour)

The best approach to selecting a festive rug is to begin with your existing furnishings. If you have a beige or cream sofa, you can add in a more vibrant shade. If your room is already decorated with colourful cushions, artwork or patterned curtains, a neutral rug might be a better option.

Red and maroon: Traditional and welcoming

Red and maroon add a rich festive tone to the Diwali celebrations and look great with the brass accessories, wooden furniture and flower decorations.

• Rov: Red Rich Textured Loom-Knotted Wool Rug: listed from AED 6000

• Look at AIBA World's Red and Maroon rugs for more options and current availability.

Gold and mustard: A warm, celebratory combination

The traditional notion of Diwali as a festival of prosperity and abundance is complemented by gold and mustard hues. Balance the room with ivory furniture or wooden accents.

• Zehra: Yellow White Floral Hand Tufted Bamboo Silk Rug, listed at AED 9,600

• Look for warm colors and decorative patterns in AIBA World's rug selection

Orange and saffron: Colorful without the complete transformation

Orange adds a positive energy to a room, particularly when paired with cream walls and simple furnishings. It can look great in a small apartment if you are looking for one center point for your festival.

Ember: Orange Sculpted Hand-Tufted Rug, listed at AED 3,600, the product gets sold quickly, check availability before planning around.

Emerald and deep green: Rich and balanced

Green is an elegant alternative to traditional red. Combine it with beige seating, natural wood, and a few small brass touches for a sophisticated living room.

• Voss: Olive Green Solid Tonal Loom-Knotted New Zealand Wool Rug: listed at AED 7,000 on the collection page.

• Check out AIBA World's rugs collection for the latest green and olive rug designs.

Ivory and neutral: Modern festive looks

For minimalist apartments, ivory, cream, and warm beige can provide a serene background for diyas, marigolds, and coloured cushions.

• Pavia: Ivory Radial Web Sculpted Round Hand-Tufted Bamboo Silk Rug: AED 4,399.

• Seher: Solid Cream Handmade Flat-Weave New Zealand Wool Rug: AED 2,000.

If you're looking for a rug that will last beyond Diwali, you should consider both.

Which Diwali Rug Size Do You Need? (Shop by Space)

A rug can help to keep a room tidy, especially in open-plan UAE apartments where the living room and dining room are on the same level. Pick a size that will fit the furniture, not the entire floor.

These are suggestions, not rules. Sizes are listed on AIBA World in centimetres; please check the size on each product page before ordering.

For reference, 200 × 300 cm is approximately 6.6 × 9.8 ft, 250 × 350 cm is about 8.2 × 11.5 ft, and 300 × 400 cm is about 9.8 × 13.1 ft.

Apartment Tip: When designing a rug in an apartment, be sure to leave a generous amount of uncovered floor space around the rug to avoid a crowded room.

If you're in a villa, take an overall measurement of how all the furniture will look and see if the front legs of sofas and chairs will fit on the rug.

For a larger space, compare 200 × 300 cm rugs, 250 × 350 cm rugs, and 300 × 400 cm rugs.

Diwali Rugs in Dubai: AED Prices and Product Ideas

Determine the amount of money you can afford to spend before you begin your shopping. While a new furniture set may be part of your festive refresh, it's important to look at the real price, not the low-budget one everyone assumes when it comes to handmade rugs.

Here are some examples from its collections, with listed prices that can change by size and availability.
Seher: Solid Cream Flat-Weave Wool Rug, Listed at AED 2,000. A perfect neutral choice for modern living rooms and polished festive styling.

Gehraai: Earthy-Tone Wool Rug, listed at AED 4,999. A cozy fit for naturally warm terracotta accents, wood, and brass accessories.

Pavia: Ivory Sculpted Round Rug listed at AED 4,399. Perfect for a reading corner, intimate seating area, or contemporary villa interior.

Looking for a rug under AED 500? Consider small format or discount listings, and see if the price applies to the size you need. If the rug is too big or too small for the room, or the wrong material, it's not a good buy.

Best Rug Styles and Materials for UAE Homes

The right rug should be used for everyday living, not for the festive photos. Dubai homes can come in a wide variety of sizes, from small rental apartments to large villas, so make sure you select a style that will complement your furniture, cleaning habits, and aesthetic.

Traditional and Persian

For formal living rooms, majlis seating or homes that use traditional fabrics and brass lamps in their Diwali decor, select detailed patterns and rich colours.

Floral and paisley

These designs go well with flowers, embroidered cushions, and traditional wooden furniture. If you do not want to use bright colours exclusively, they are good choices to make for a festive appearance.

Mandala and rangoli-inspired

Symmetry found in festive decorations can be mirrored in circular motifs. Display a suitable design in a suitable seating area, away from open flames.

Modern geometric

Modern villas and apartments are best complemented by clean lines and subtle patterns. Use them with festive cushions and flowers to freshen up your decor without altering your permanent furnishings.

Which material is right for your household?

Polypropylene: Usually convenient for fast-paced households as it is easy to clean. If you have pets or children, see the care label and construction of the individual rug.

New Zealand Wool: A high-quality natural-fibre, soft and full product. It's perfect for living rooms that prioritize comfort and craftsmanship.

Bamboo Silk and Viscose: Will provide a shiny and classy look in formal settings. Most of the time, they require more attention than most common synthetic rugs.

Jute: Natural, textured materials for entrances and casual interior spaces. Avoid damp areas and clean according to the manufacturer's instructions.

For example, a large Diwali dinner with the children running between the living room and dining table, easy maintenance and secure, flat placement are important.

For a more subdued formal lounge, a high-quality wool or bamboo-silk option could be more suitable.

Diwali Rug Gift Ideas for Friends and Family

Rugs make for a thoughtful housewarming gift or a festive gift, especially for those who have just moved into a new apartment or furnished a new villa in Dubai. While seasonal decorations may need to be changed from time to time, a good rug can last for many years.

• Under AED 300-500: Find compact pieces or natural fibre accents; check availability

• Under AED 500-1,000: Check out runners and some smaller rugs, but first look at the dimensions and prices

• AED 1,000 and above: If the person is decorating a new house, choose a larger handmade rug

If you aren't familiar with the interior style of your gift recipient, neutral colors can be a good option to give. Cream, beige, or earthy tones can be paired with a wider selection of furniture.

Make Your Home Diwali-Ready with the Right Rug

There's no need to do a major renovation to make your home festive. Begin with these three choices:

• Select your colour: Red and maroon for a traditional hue, orange for warmth, green for richness, or ivory for a contemporary style.

• Measure your space: Measure the rug for the seating area, pooja corner, entrance, or villa lounge.

• Determine an affordable budget: Make a comparison on the live AED price, material, size and delivery before purchasing.

The best rug is one that feels right during the festivities, and that will be useful all year round, whether you're shopping for Dhanteras, preparing for Diwali guests, or selecting a housewarming present.
